It's
Loganberry's Tenth Anniversary!
Ten years ago, November 1994, Loganberry Books made its debut at the
Cleveland Antiquarian Book Fair in Gray's Armory, and set up shop on
Larchmere
Boulevard with Dede Moore Oriental Rugs. There have been three
expansions since
then, including the move to our own building last summer, and we seem
to
be building bookshelves ... again! The Anniversary postcard will be
arriving in the mail soon; or come pick some up and pass them out to
your friends.

Exciting
new acquisitions
- All-Night
Party: The Women of Bohemian Greenwich
Village and Harlem, 1913-1930 by Andrea Barnet. They
were
poets, actresses, singers, artists, journalists, publishers,
baronesses, and benefactresses. And they eschewed the social
conventions
expected of them! New paperback, $16.95
- Pickle-Chiffon
Pie by Jolly Roger Bradfield.
Who gets the princess?? The prince who "brings back
the most unusual, the most marvelous, the MOST WONDERFUL THING" ...
and so the race is on!! Out-of-print for almost 30 years, this new
hardcover reprint is
available for $18.95.
- A Tree for Peter by Kate Seredy.
Originally written in 1941, this story of hope and urban renewal became
famous for its detailed sepia-toned illustrations. The Purple House
Press reprint does justice to its artistry with nice cream paper stock
and good illustration reproduction. Recommended. New hardcover,
$19.95
- and lots of used and rare books in all categories, of course...

T217: Tomato soup and chocolate
cake
I'm looking for a
children's book with a little girl who always eats a chicken leg,
tomato soup and a piece of chocolate cake. I think the story is told
from the point of view of another little girl whose box lunch isn't
nearly so great and then one day she is invited to go to a restaurant
to have the tomato soup, chocolate cake lunch, with her father. (I
believe).
